JUDGE AMY WILSON
LAS VEGAS

Judge Amy Wilson Las Vegas

Judge Amy Wilson, the Justice of the Peace for Las Vegas Justice Court Dept 7, has ordered a web site critical of the Clark County Dept of Family Services and one of it’s officials (LeighAnne Westenkirchner), to be removed, or the alleged authors to face 25 days in county jail for every one day the web site remains active.

In what can only be described as a blatant violation of the First Amendment by an incompetent and crooked judge, Wilson ordered the web site www.LeighAnneWestenkirchnerExposed.com to be taken down within seven days or persons who she alleges contributed to its content will face 25 days in Clark County jail for every one day the web site remains active.

The web site is critical of Westenkirchner, who has harassed Clark County foster parents for years, and displays evidence that Westenkirchner used false evidence against foster parents to revoke their foster home licenses. For several years, Westenkirchner filed restraining orders against persons she believes published content and negative comments about her online. As part of the restraining orders, Westenkirchner asked the court to order the online material removed. Most of Westenkirchner’s restraining orders were denied, except her most recent, which was heard by Judge Amy Wilson.  During the hearing, the defendants argued that the First Amendment guaranteed their right to publish facts and opinions about government entities. Judge Wilson explained that the First Amendment did not apply to restraining order matters, and found that the existence of the web site constituted harassment and stalking under Nevada law. The matter is currently in appeal – and the web site remains active.
